The Civil Aviation Safety Authority have long had an aviation focused dangerous goods campaign. The dated imagery and failure to communicate effectively meant it was time for a refresh. Working closely with subject matter experts, communication specialists and the design team the existing campaign was developed.
With a focus on generic iconography rather than literal images to give greater scope and meaning for dangerous items. Building on the icon base we then developed a strong font and colour palette to create a consistent brand for the various communication platforms. This was then rolled out across the country in airports, small business', and advertising. Finally being developed into the successful 'Can I pack that' application.
